Perhaps Ella Langley and Riley Green are a bit too good at their jobs. The pair of Alabama singer-songwriters linked up last summer for their viral hit “You Look Like You Love Me,” off Langley’s debut album Hungover. One year and many, many trophies later, the dynamic duo is still routinely shooting down dating rumors. And judging from the response to Langley’s latest single, “Never Met Anyone Like You,” those fan theories are not going away anytime soon.

Released Friday, June 27, the Hardy collab starts off like many blissful love songs before it: “All of my friends can’t quit talking about you / They’ve never been like this before / The way that you turn every head that’s around you / The second you walk through the door.”
Fast forward to the song’s bridge, where Langley pulls a bait-and-switch worthy of Taylor Swift. “‘Cause you said it was us till the end / Then you went and hooked up with my friend / And you blamed it on me / Left me crying in pieces / Damn, what a piece of s—.“
It’s one hell of a switch-up, and it certainly has fans buzzing. Of course, fans have theorized what these lyrics might mean, conjuring a hypothetical love triangle in the midst.
Ultimately, as Langley highlighted on social media, “this isn’t a love song.” But what it might be is Langley’s next smash hit.

Ella Langley And Riley Green Have Both Denied Being in a Relationship
Apparently, the rumor mill spins on regardless of how many times both Ella Langley and Riley Green publicly insist they’re just friends.
“You know, me and Ella have two giant songs together and I think fans kinda wanna believe that what you’re singing about is real, and follow those lyrics and think there’s a story there,” said Green, 36. “So I can comprehend people that are thinking there’s something going on.”
He added in a separate interview, “Yeah, I mean, Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway.”
Langley, 26, also shot down fans’ theories, telling Taste of Country last November that the pair are “just good friends.”
If nothing else, no one can say they didn’t earn all those awards.
