NPR Offers Free Streams of Upcoming Albums By Oberst, Lytle, and St. Vincent

NPR knows how to hook a brother up. In addition to their online archive of streaming concerts, the company’s website also offers exclusive “First Listen” album streams, before said albums are in stores. They’ve already previewed albums by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, and Paul McCartney. Now they’re welcoming some new artists into their ranks, streaming full listens of upcoming albums by Conor Oberst, Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle, and St. Vincent. Outer South, the second album from Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, will be available until April 27th. Lytle’s debut solo album, Yours Truly, the Commuter, will stream until May 4. St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, is offering her sophomore album Actor until May 5.

NPR boasts concerts and interviews from those artists as well. Sounds like a fine way to spend a weekend.
