Not everyone was lucky enough to attend Pete Seeger’s 90th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden back in May, which featured everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Billy Bragg. Those of us who didn’t receive an invitation can now tune into PBS, which is airing a slimmed-down version of the four-and-a-half-hour show as part of their “Great Performances” series (check your local listings for times and dates). The public-supported channel will be airing the show over the next few weeks. The special includes footage of Seeger, Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson, Richie Havens, Roger McGuinn, Ani DiFranco, Taj Mahal, Steve Earle, Tom Morello, and Dave Matthews.

It should be a real hoot.
