With Thanksgiving just around the corner, families are already preparing to spend the day with family and friends for a time of great food and sparkling conversation. Although the day is about being thankful and spending time with each other, Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without some football. Looking back at the NFL’s history, the Detroit Lions hosted a game on Thanksgiving every year since 1934. And with three games scheduled this year, it seems that the NFL called on stars like Lainey Wilson, Lindsey Stirling, and Shaboozey to help entertain the crowd and viewers at home.

Taking a glance at the NFL schedule for Thanksgiving Day, Wilson prepared to take the field as the Dallas Cowboys looked to defeat the New York Giants. As that game airs on Fox, Stirling will head to Green Bay, Wisconsin to perform as the Packers rally against the Miami Dolphins on NBC. As for Shaboozey, he will appear on CBS as the Lions hope to continue their dominance over the NFL as they face off against the Chicago Bears.

Shaboozey Ready To Hit The Field
Although the NFL welcomed stars like Jack Harlow and Steve Aoki to perform during last year’s Thanksgiving, all eyes were on Dolly Parton’s iconic performance at the Cowboys’ game. Just like last year, each performer received six minutes of performance time. Speaking about the opportunity, Shaboozey said, “Thanksgiving football is an iconic tradition in this country, and I’m hyped to be a part of it this year. The Detroit Lions season has been pretty epic so far, and I’m excited to tap into that crazy energy their fans bring to Ford Field. I can’t wait for America to see the show we’ve been working on for y’all.”
Besides getting a chance to perform for the NFL, Seth Dudowsky, the NFL’s head of music, explained how impactful the single performance is. “The NFL on Thanksgiving provides artists with a massive platform that continues to grow, and we know this year’s games will bring another unforgettable day of football, music, and unifying moments for fans watching across the country and around the world.”
Don’t miss the NFL Thanksgiving Day Games, starting at 12:30 p.m. ET/PT with the Bears taking on the Lions.
