Of all the emotional devastation in Jelly Roll’s musical catalogue, “Save Me” might pack the most powerful punch. The face-tatted rapper-turned-country-star admits the raw tune was hard for even him to hear to at first. First released on his 2020 album Self Medicated, “Save Me” exploded in 2023 when Jelly released an official remix with fellow country music darling Lainey Wilson. And since Wilson couldn’t be at Stagecoach to perform the heartbreaking duet, Lana Del Rey stepped up and performed “Save Me” with Jelly Roll.

Lana Del Rey Fills In For Lainey Wilson With Jelly Roll at Stagecoach
On Saturday (April 26) Jelly Roll took the T-Mobile Mane Stage for “officially the biggest show I’ve ever headlined.” While he headlined the Indio, California country music festival this year, the Grammy nominee clearly didn’t mind sharing the spotlight.
Bringing out MGK, Shaboozey, and Wiz Khalifa, Jelly’s Stagecoach set crossed genre lines with ease. However, he saved the biggest surprise for last. “Lana Del Rey is with me tonight, y’all!” Jelly Roll exclaimed as the rain came pouring down.
Rocking a gauzy gold dress and a newly shorn pixie cut, the “Summertime Sadness” siren filled in for Lainey Wilson on “Save Me.” Del Rey. 39, brought an ethereal, wispy quality to the already emotionally raw verse: What if the night sky was missin’ the moon? / There were no shootin’ stars to use wishin’ on you.

One couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the 11-time Grammy nominee’s performance, and Jelly Roll certainly was not immune. The “I Am Not Okay” crooner stood back with his hand over his heart, quietly singing along.
“He got his hand over his heart cause he knows she the national anthem,” one TikTok user remarked.
Saturday marked Del Rey’s second night performing at Stagecoach. She took the stage Friday (April 25) for a country-tinged set ahead of her forthcoming album Lasso.

Jelly Roll Pens Heartfelt Tribute to Stagecoach Guests
Instead of seeing Stagecoach as his moment to shine, Jelly Roll brought forth a delightful array of guests including Lana Del Rey, Alex Warren, and Christian singer Brandon Lake. The “Need a Favor” singer, 40, shared a photo of himself posing with all of them to social media, along with some heartfelt words about “the biggest night of my life.”
“For some people, music is just “music”. But for people like us, music is magical,” he wrote. “Music is medicine. Music can heal people.”
