Weddings are all about having fun. And that means to get the most out of your special day’s celebration, you need the perfect playlist. Yes, the food, the bar, and the guest list are important. But if you don’t have a playlist that gets your party started, then you will be left with a wet noodle of a celebration. And nobody wants that reflected in their photo album. We wanted to assist with that very important playlist and put together three suggestions that both set the mood and sum up the feelings of a wedding day. Indeed, these are three classic rock songs that will take your wedding day playlist to the next level.

“God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys from ‘Pet Sounds’ (1966)
A song of adoration and pure devotion. This is what a wedding day should symbolize, and that’s why this classic rock song from the Southern California-born band The Beach Boys is the perfect track to play at the exact right moment during the matrimonial celebration. Many of us have felt that feeling—if it wasn’t for our boyfriend or girlfriend, fiance or spouse, we would be nothing. Or at least not in the positive place we are right now. That’s the idea captured by Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys here.
“Crazy On You” by Heart from ‘Dreamboat Annie’ (1976)
This track from Heart’s classic 1976 LP is about passion at its most carnal. The sisters of Heart penned the track to explain that feeling of throwing yourself on your partner when you need to feel their touch. At the time, the Vietnam War was raging. Social upheaval was in the streets. Confusion was in the air. So, what do you do when all of this is swirling around? Well, sometimes you just have to dive into bed and express yourself physically with your partner. Sometimes, yes, you just have to go crazy on someone! Therefore, this is the perfect track pre-wedding night or honeymoon!
“Wild Horses” by The Rolling Stones from ‘Sticky Fingers’ (1971)
While this song won’t get the feet a-flying on the dance floor, it is one that sums up a sense of admiration. Similar to “God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys, this track from the British-born band The Rolling Stones expresses closeness and a sense of gratitude for a romantic partner. Lead vocalist Mick Jagger expresses the sentiment that the world can try to tear a couple apart, but it just won’t work. They’re bonded together in love for eternity. Sounds like just the perfect classic rock track for a wedding day!
