Becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry is one of, if not the most, decorated honor a country musician can receive. That being so, it is a very coveted membership, and consequently, not everyone can become a member. In years past, several musicians have willingly refused to become members of the Opry for logistical or ideological reasons. However, there are a couple of musicians who one would think deserve an invite but have yet to receive one.

Why some of these musicians haven’t received an induction isn’t clear. However, their track record and dominant presence in country music would suggest that they are more than worthy of one. With that in mind, here are three country stars who aren’t members of the Grand Ole Opry.
Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan is a monster success. In his career, Bryan has scored 30 No. 1 hits, 18 CMA Awards, and generally, is one of the biggest names in 21st-century country music. However, the “Country Girl” singer isn’t a member of the Grand Ole Opry for some unclear and undisclosed reason.
Despite the fact that Bryan isn’t a member of the Opry, he deserves to be one thanks to his massive success. Again, it is unclear why Bryan isn’t a member, but regardless, the man has more than enough accolades and influence to consistently stand on the Opry’s stage.
Miranda Lambert
Miranda Lambert has been an integral part of the country music scene ever since the ‘2000s. However, that has not guaranteed her a spot in the Grand Ole Opry. In her career, Lambert has garnered seven No. 1 hits, 14 CMA awards, and a whopping 37 ACM awards. Although, the only accolade missing from her resume is a Grand Ole Opry membership.
Most cases such as Bryan and Lambert’s don’t specifically divulge why they aren’t members of the Grand Ole Opry. Nonetheless, Lambert seemingly has a track record that is worthy of a membership. And who knows, maybe one day she will get it.
Faith Hill
Even though Faith Hill dominated the country music scene in the ’90s, she has yet to receive a membership into the Grand Ole Opry. Since making her debut in 1993, Faith Hill has scored 11 No. 1 hits, three CMA Awards, and an astounding 15 ACM awards. And generally, she is also one of the most familiar faces in the country music scene thanks to her several television and movie appearances.
Hill’s non-existent membership is unclear and in addition to her not being a member, her husband, Tim McGraw, is also not a member. However, never say never, as Hill’s career is certainly worthy of a membership into the Grand Ole Opry.
