Riley Green is less than two weeks away from launching his Damn Country Music Tour. He’s made the trip from his Alabama farm to Nashville to dive into rehearsals for his arena headlining tour. And he can’t wait to share his new music and the fresh talent he’s taking on the road with fans.

“There’s quite a few openers, and I think that’s cool,” Green said. “I think it’s nice to be able to share some of what we’re getting to do now. It’s really awesome that we have a lot of sold-out shows and big crowds. We can bring up some artists that I’m a fan of and try to put on the best show we can.”
Artists joining Green on his tour in the support position are: Ella Langley, Drake White, Vincent Mason, Lauren Watkins, Jake Worthington, Preston Cooper, Erik Dylan, Wyatt McCubbin, Mike Ryan and Channing Wilson. Langley will play every date on the tour while the others will rotate.
“A lot of these people are great songwriters,” Green. “It’d be nice to have ’em out on the road and hopefully have some more collaborations.”
Green and Langley have duets, including “You look like you love me” and “Don’t Mind if I Do.”

“(Knowing) what happened with Ella in the past and Luke Combs in the past, what will come out of the tour,” Green wondered.
The singer’s Damn Country Music Tour is his first headlining run since Green released his 18-song Don’t Mind if I Do album last fall.
“Being able to go and play songs like ‘Jesus Saves’ in a sold-out arena that’s my tour, it’s something I’m really excited about,” Green said. “I mean there’s also songs that kind of surprised me. ‘Change My Mind’ is one of those.”
Green wrote the rocker with Erik Dylan and Randy Montana. He’s always thought it would be a great full-band song to play live. “Change My Mind” has been out for a while, and he’s seen how fans engage. He’s anxious to add it to his set.
Dann Huff produced Don’t Mind if I Do, and Green said Huff’s unmistakable stamp is all over the collection – dominantly on “Change My Mind.” Green didn’t know what the song would sound like in the studio. He knew he wanted it to be a big live moment, and Huff brought it to life.
“It was that guitar lick at the beginning, and all that stuff that are things that are musically way beyond my knowledge I couldn’t have came up with,” Green said. “I got to give Dann Huff a lot of credit for that one.”
Riley Green is Intentional About Rockers
If Green doesn’t consider his live show when he’s writing songs, he said he’d have an album full of songs like “Jesus Saves” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”
“Everybody would just cry the whole time,” Green said. “Having songs with more energy like ‘Change My Mind’ is important, and that was one that really kind of came to life in the studio.”
Green’s Damn Country Music Tour starts in British Columbia on March 27 and winds through Canada, and then jumps to Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Ohio in May. It wraps August 25 at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
The singer said he’ll be ready to head back to his Alabama farm when the tour is over.
“I miss it when I have a run of shows for two months, and I haven’t been home,” he said. “It feels impossible to catch everybody up on what’s going on. I think all of my friends and family are so excited about my career. I’m really fortunate my folks get to come out to a lot of shows. I get there. I’m like, ‘Man, so what all’s happened since the last time I saw y’all?’ The other end of that, the great thing is when I go home, not much has changed there. So there’s not too much to catch up on.”
