Zach Bryan Tips His Hat to Morgan Wallen and the Tune Wallen Calls “My Most Personal Song” to Date

For fans of Morgan Wallen, they woke up to a special treat on Friday, May 16th, when the country singer released his fourth studio album with, I’m the Problem. While featuring songs like “Just in Case” and “I’m a Little Crazy”, the album also featured appearances from stars including Eric Church, Hardy, ERNEST, Tate McRae, and even Post Malone. And if that wasn’t enough, the album came packed with a total of 37 songs. Pouring every bit of passion into the project, Wallen explained why “I Got Better” was one of his most personal songs to date.

While taking nearly two hours to get through the entire album, Wallen’s I’m the Problem consisted of nearly 50 songwriters. He himself wrote 22 of the songs featured on the album. And among of the songs, he highlighted “I Got Better”, admitting, “‘I got better since you got gone’ would be how I feel right now. I’d say that’s one that really came from my heart, and it can mean many things. It’s not just a song to a girl, it could be a song to anything that’s holding you back. That’s why I like that song so much, for a long time I had a lot of things holding me back.”

Able to work through those challenges, Wallen was finally free to say goodbye. “I’ve finally said goodbye to a lot of those things, and I’m proud of the results that have come from doing that. So, I’d say ‘I Got Better’ is my most personal song right now.”

Morgan Wallen Shares Shop Sessions Performance Of “I Got Better” And Get Zach Bryan’s Support

Although one of Wallen’s favorite songs on the album, I’m the Problem featured more than a few hits. And apparently, the country singer started with way more than 37 songs. “We recorded around 50 songs for this album and ended up cutting 13. I feel like we accomplished what I had in mind, and a huge shoutout to my close collaborators on this too. They came in ready and fired up every single day, and they inspire me as much as anything else.”

Releasing a Shop Sessions video of “I Got Better”, Wallen already started to gain praise from fans. Again, needing some time to make it throughout the entire album, fans couldn’t get enough. “I can definitely hear the emotion in Morgan’s voice as he sings this song.” One fan added, “The shop sessions need they’re own album!!!” And for one person, they already looked to the future, insisting, “Album of the Year. Couldn’t be a better masterpiece.”

Besides fans showing their support for Wallen and his new album, the country singer received a special shoutout from another rising country star Zach Bryan. With Bryan recently selling his publishing catalog for a staggering $350 million, the singer knew a thing or two about how to make a hit song. Not sharing a statement, Bryan simply shared a picture of the music he was listening to at that moment. And not that surprising, it was “I Got Better.”

Only released a few hours ago, Wallen appeared to have yet another hit album on his hands with I’m the Problem.
