Hurray for the Riff Raff is the nom de band of Alynda Lee Segarra, a New Orleans musician by way of the Bronx who is set to release her ATO Records debut, Small Town Heroes, in February. HFTT stopped by our office last month when they were in town for a two-night run opening for Amos Lee at the Ryman. Watch the video above to see a performance of the Carter Family-inspired “Blue Ridge Mountain,” with accompaniment by Yosi Perlstein. We think Maybelle herself would be proud.
