Fans that have not yet seen the current “Magic” tour featuring Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band need not fear. On July 15, The Boss will release a four track album titled, Magic Tour Highlights available through all digital download sources, including iTunes. This release should prove popular even for those who have seen the current tour; it features performances by several guest musicians, as well as the last live performance of the late Danny Federici, organ and accordion player for the E Street Band.

The album will include four audio tracks with accompanying videos. The tracks are:

“Always A Friend” (performed with Alejandro Escovedo) Recording Date: 04/14/2008 (Houston, Texas)

“The Ghost of Tom Joad” (performed with Tom Morello) Recording Date: 04/07/2008 (Anaheim, California)

“Turn Turn Turn” (performed with Roger McGuinn) Recording Date: 04/23/2008 (Orlando, Florida)

“4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)” (Danny Federici’s final performance with the E Street Band) Recording Date: 03/20/2008 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

In tribute to Federici, artists, songwriters and publishers involved in the project have agreed to donate all sales royalties to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund. In addition, Columbia Records has also agreed to donate all of its net profits, and, in a similar show of respect for Federici, iTunes has agreed to donate net profits from all first year sales.

When Highlights is released on July 15, Springsteen’s official website, brucespringsteen.net, will offer further instructions about album download locations.
