Hard-working L.A. rock band Dawes have been tapped to open for Bob Dylan on the latest leg of Dylan’s Never Ending Tour — a jaunt through the Northeast which will run from April 5 to April 21.

Maybe Dylan was turned on to them from his old friend and Band leader Robbie Robertson, who recruited Dawes for his live dates in support of his solo album How To Become Clairvoyant. Or perhaps he caught them at The Newport Folk Festival, where they backed up their friend Jackson Browne. Maybe he’s a fan of their new single, “From A Window Seat.” Or, to quote the band, maybe it was “a little bit of everything.”
