Charlie Worsham Live: Presented by Martin Guitar

Videos by American Songwriter

Charlie Worsham is the sort of triple threat artist that seems in short supply on Music Row these days. He writes well, sings well, and is a skilled and tasteful guitarist to boot.

Worsham, who released his debut album Rubberband last month on Warner Nashville, stopped by our office to play “Mississippi in July” recently. The Magnolia state native picked on his 1963 Martin D-28, a guitar he picked up at Gruhn Guitars during a childhood visit to Nashville. “My parents got it for me for Christmas,” Worsham said, “and it is the first really nice guitar I ever owned. I played a couple of guitars during that trip but I liked the way it sounded, and the straight-up black pickguard I thought looked pretty cool.”
