“Chicken Soup for the Soul” has teamed up with one of Hollywood’s top publicists and talent managers, Jo-Ann Geffen to release the brand’s first all celebrity book: “Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Story Behind The Song.” The book spotlights 101 artists, songs and songwriters and aims to get the story, inspiration, and history of each.

On bookstore shelves November 10, the book chronicles many of pop culture’s top hits and artists that have shaped music and culture. Covering a wide array of music, the book highlights artists Kanye West, Melissa Etheridge, Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell, Barry Manilow, Frank Sinatra, Pam Tillis and many other iconic figures in the music industry. The stories are personal and many provide the answer to the question that plagues many music fans: What is the real story behind this song?

In addition to a wide array of songs and artists, the stories told therein have a wide array of emotional diversity. Each tale is unique and some will bring joy and others sadness to the reader. Each story is accompanied by a photo and the lyrics of the song discussed.

The book is published by Chicken Soup for the Soul LLC, publisher of all the latest titles from the famed Chicken Soup for the Soul book series and is distributed by Simon and Schuster, Inc. Since 1993, the book series has sold over 112 million copies and been translated into more than three dozen languages. In 2007, USA Today called “Chicken Soup For The Soul” one of the most influential books in the last quarter century.
