It seems like a bright enough idea for David Cook as “Light On” has been selected as his first single. If you are one of America’s own “Idol Fanatics,” then you are all too familiar with what rocker David Cook is capable of.

Winning Fox’s seventh season of American Idol, Cook is eager to release his debut album this November. When asked about the new record, Cook explains “The music is rock and it’s pretty undeniably me, which I’m pretty excited about.” He added that “there’s gonna be some interesting twists and turns … that will keep people interested.”

So will “Light On” be the secret ingredient needed for Cook’s record? The charts will prove if the Cornell/Howes combo will keep Idol fanatics coming back for more.
