(Coldplay debate what to call their new album)

“It’s a concept album but it’s supposed to be very personal within a big framework. Does that make sense?”

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin tells the BBC that the band’s followup to their 2008 smash hit Vida La Vida or Death and All His Friends will have a unifying theme. The untitled record, recorded with Viva La Vida production team Brian Eno and Marcus Dravs, tells the story of “two like-minded outsiders who meet in a very difficult environment and therefore have a journey together.”

“It’s from the point of view of two people who are a bit lost,” says Martin. Will it resemble the already existing Coldplay song “Lost!”? Only time will tell. Though no release date has been set, the band promise to release the new album soon.
