“My name is Sue, how do you do?” On June 8, Sugar Hill Records will toast poet/songwriter/children’s book author Shel Silverstein, with a tribute album boasting such songwriting luminaries as Kris Kristofferson, Lucinda Williams, and John Prine, as well as indie rock acts like My Morning Jacket, Andrew Bird, and Dr. Dog. Silverstein’s best-known compositions include “A Boy Named Sue,” written for Johnny Cash, “The Cover of the Rolling Stone” written for Dr. Hook, and the books The Giving Tree, Falling Up, and A Light In The Attic.
