Brown, the network said, will prove heroic in a major storyline in the episode. In a post to his Instagram Story, Brown revealed he was set to shoot his part on Aug. 7.

“It’s going to be sick,” he gushed. “I’m excited.”

The Nashville-set series is the third in the 9-1-1 franchise. The original show premiered back in 2018, and its first spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star, aired from 2020 to 2025.

9-1-1: Nashville is a high-octane procedural about our heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities, according to its official description.

The series stars Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, and more. It will premiere Oct. 9 on ABC.

Kane Brown’s Acting Experience

As for Brown, he made his acting debut back in 2023 when he appeared on Fire Country. At the time, Brown told Entertainment Tonight why he wanted to give acting a go.

“I’m a movie junkie,” he said. “My thing is just, not only trying to push myself and be different, it’s always wanting to try something new.”

Brown impressed Fire Country creator and star Max Thieriot, who told the outlet that the singer has “a lot of raw, natural ability to be present and to listen, and really be in the moment.”

“I think if you can start there and do that, you can build off of it,” he said. “Some people cannot start there, they just don’t have that thing. And I think he has that thing. He was really, really passionate about putting in the work and being really focused on doing this. To me, that meant a lot.”

On the music side of things, Brown put out his fourth LP, The High Road, in January. He has been busy on the festival circuit this summer. Brown will to kick off a run of shows in Europe this September.
