Ready for some rock star karaoke?

At this weekend’s Reading Festival, Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker joined The Strokes for a fun-run through of The Cars’ classic “Just What In Needed.” Cocker nailed Ric Ocasek’s odd vocal inflections, while The Strokes showed their mastery of the Cars sound, which serves as a template of sorts for their own singles — chugging bass lines, guitar solos that sound like keyboards, and New Wave vocals.
