“Dark Was the Night” Goes Live

On May 3rd at Radio City Music Hall, David Byrne, Dirty Projectors, Feist, Grizzly Bear, My Brightest Diamond, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and The National will perform selections from the charity comp, with proceeds going to the Red Hot Organization, an Aids prevention group.

This year’s most buzzed about compilation album, Dark Was the Night, is getting it’s own concert. On May 3rd at Radio City Music Hall, David Byrne, Dirty Projectors, Feist, Grizzly Bear, My Brightest Diamond, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and The National will perform selections from the charity comp, with proceeds going to the Red Hot Organization, an Aids prevention group.

Tickets go on sale March 13th through Ticketmaster. More artists are expected to be added to the bill.

Dark Was the Night was curated by The National, and features cuts from Andrew Bird, Iron and Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Spoon, and just about everybody else in indie music.
