Cracker Barrel has always been a little bit country, and will soon be a bit more rock and roll. Music legend Dolly Parton has teamed up with the Old Country Store to create a rather unique line of merchandise. On March 23rd, bright pink rocking chairs will appear on the front porch of every restaurant. Bearing Dolly’s signature and trademark butterfly, the rockers will be a limited edition production, only two for each of the 588 Cracker Barrel locations. For fans unwilling spend $199 for an oversized piece of Malibu Barbie furniture, the shops will also be selling a commerative book and, a special version of Parton’s 2008 album, Backwoods Barbie, featuring three extra tracks. Recorded exclusively for this CD, the bonus songs are “Berry Pie,” “Rose of My Heart,” and “Hallelujah Holiday.”

Explaining her music selections and her thoughts on the business venture, Dolly comments, “I wanted the songs I chose specifically for this release to reflect how I feel about Cracker Barrel and all the good things you can find there… I think it’s important for there to be an authentic connection to the heritage that Cracker Barrel and I share.”
