Grammys To Beyonce: “I’mma Let You Finish”

Videos by American Songwriter

The nominees for the 52nd Grammy Awards have been announced. Surprisingly, Beyonce leads the pack with 10 nominations, while Taylor Swift comes in second with eight (we thought it would be the other way around).

I guess the voters took a cue from Kanye and said, “Beyonce, I’mma let you finish first.”

Swift told the AP: “To be recognized by the Grammys is the ultimate honor, and all I know is that when I write about this in my journal tonight, it will be in all capital letdters and underlined four times. And there will be lots of exclamation points in this entry because I never imagined I’d get to write this kind of journal entry.”

In the Americana category (probably our favorite), you have Together Through Life by Bob Dylan, Electric Dirt by Levon Helm, Willie And The Wheel by Willie Nelson & Asleep At The Wheel, Wilco (The Album) by Wilco, and Little Honey by Lucinda Williams.
