Inside SoundLand: Justin Townes Earle Q&A, Rich Robinson Unplugs

Musically, this year’s SoundLand was an embarrassment of riches. Some of the best moments from the Nashville fest took place in the Shure Studio off 8th Avenue, where Justin Townes Earle, The Low Anthem, and Rich Robinson performed acoustic sets for American Songwriter in front of 40 lucky fans. Earle also sat for a rambling interview with author and contributing writer Jewly Hight, which you can watch below.

Rich Robinson Unplugs At The Shure House

Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson was in town to promote his sophomore solo album, the rootsy, acclaimed Through A Crooked Sun. You can hear the family ties to his brother in his unsurprisingly strong singing voice, but the acoustic guitar mastery is his alone.

Revisit more moments from SoundLand (Adam Faucett rocking 12th and Porter, Justin Townes Earle performing “Ain’t Waitin’,” Madi Diaz singing a Silver Seas song and Jonny Corndawg debuting a new song) here.
