  1. Wow … 2008-2009 must have been one HELUVA year for the record industry then.

Nearly all of these are from the last two years, and they’re already “most downloads of all time”. Ke$ha for instance … WTF … #10 most downloaded song of ALL TIME? That came out like … months ago. Already beating out Thriller and the like?

    methinks there be shenannigans afoot.

  2. Obviously showing the fact that Gen Y has overtaken the baby boomers in population and are now the target market for anyone looking to sell entertainment products.

ex: Titanic wasn’t the best movie of all time, it was only the fact that teenage girls saw it an average of 5 each times that made it the most grossing movie of all time.

  3. Wow, digital downloads have really strengthened in the last year. Plurgid, these are MOST DOWNLOADED SINGLES not best-selling SINGLES with also includes physical sales.

  4. Hmm, these are the most downloaded from iTunes. I wonder what the actual most-downloaded song of all time is, legal or illegal. I suppose that would be a hard one to figure out.

  5. most of these songs, and the fact that so many people like them, make me sick. my faith in my fellow citizens is diminishing even further when I see how so many have become tasteless, followers of whatever simplistic garbage is spewn in front of them
