Jimmy Buffett is set to return with Buffet Hotel, a 12-song album which features songwriting contributions from Will Kimbrough, Roger Guth, Jesse Winchester and others.
Buffett tells Billboard.com the album features his first-ever surf-rock song, “Surfing in a Hurricane,” and a cover of Bruce Cockburn’s “Life’s Short.” Several of the songs from Buffett Hotel have been featured in Buffett’s recent set lists.

Buffett will hit the road in 2010 to support Buffett Hotel, and, taking a page out of the E Street Band’s playbook, he says he’s mulling over the idea of performing full albums on his next trek.
In March, Buffett will collaborate with the Zac Brown Band on an episode of CMT Crossroads.
