The Gulf Coast can’t catch a break. Jimmy Buffett’s free benefit concert in Gulf Shores, Alabama, originally slated for July 1, has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather. The impending arrival of Tropical Storm Andrew has forced concert organizers to change the concert date to July 11.
“I know there’s going to be disappointed people out there, but no one is more disappointed than us,” Mayor Robert Craft said in a press conference.
The show is slated to feature guest performers Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown. A July 4th concert by Montgomery Gentry at Gulf Shores is still expected to go on.
