Singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle was arrested and charged with battery, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement following a gig at Radio Radio in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 16.
Earle, who had complained about the sound during the show, allegedly became incensed after the audience heckled him. According to reports, Earle is accused of destroying equipment backstage and punching the club owner’s daughter.

Earle was arrested and freed on bail. Afterwords, he tweeted the following:
“Sorry for missing radio Louisville. I was in jail! Making the show at headliners though. Free again!!!”
Earle’s court date is October 19.
