Kings of Leon to Headline Lollapalooza

The Kings of Leon, who are touring behind their fourth album, Only By the Night, will join Jane’s Addiction, Beastie Boys, and Depeche Mode at this year’s Lollapalooza.

This year, Lollapalooza will stay true to its ’90s roots, giving its headlining slots to the Beastie Boys, Depeche Mode, and the newly reformed Jane’s Addiction, who started the whole thing back in 1991. However, it’s not all about nostalgia for the days when grunge was golden — the increasingly popular Kings of Leon are also scheduled to close the festival.

The Kings, who are touring behind their fourth album, Only By the Night, headlined their first sold-out Madison Square Garden show in January. They’ve also been the subject of shout-outs from Radiohead, U2, and Lucinda Williams, all of whom count themselves as fans.

The Nashville band’s recent single, “Sex On Fire,” was the largest selling digital single in UK history.
