Since dropping her Why You Runnin’ EP last November and getting picked up by Mississippi taste-makers Fat Possum, Lissie has been an overnight success. She’s got festival dates this summer (Glastonbury, iTunes and Bestival in the UK; Lilith Fair and ACL Fest in the States) and a new record, Catching A Tiger, in August. The album, produced by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon) and Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses), is a country-tinged affair with Lissie’s soulful, untethered voice at the center.
At this year’s South By Southwest in March, Lissie played an American Songwriter day party, co-hosted by XO Publicity and Future Sounds.
