Live Nation Entertainment and Bonnaroo’s founding partners AC Entertainment and Superfly announced a new partnership today, where Live Nation assumes the controlling interest of the Music and Arts Festival held in Manchester, TN.
Along with the new partnership, Live Nation will also own a share of Great Stage Park, the site’s official property, popularly known as “The Farm.” The signing adds Bonnaroo to a list of over 60 other marquee festivals under Live Nation Entertainment including Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Leeds, Electric Daisy Carnival and others.
“We are strengthening our commitment to create the best possible experience at Bonnaroo,” said Rick Farman, co-founder of Superfly. “Through this partnership with Live Nation, we’re even more empowered to enhance the festival while preserving the integrity of the event that we’ve thoughtfully built over the past 14 years.”
“We continue to expand the industry’s most unparalleled and scalable festival platform all while driving strong revenue and growth for Live Nation on a global basis,” added Michael Rapino, Live Nation CEO and president. “Bonnaroo is another crown jewel in this festival channel strategy, one that appeals to both fans and artists in uniqueness and experience.”
