Country powerhouse Miranda Lambert has released a video for her track “We Should Be Friends,” recruiting Trey Fanjoy to direct yet another fun, lively clip.

Videos by American Songwriter

The video features the Texas native treating herself to a new hairdo at the local down-home beauty parlor on the town square, filmed at a real hair salon in Watertown, Tennessee. The theme of the video perfectly matches the lyrics of the song, starring your typical hometown heroes, including the standard gossiping small-town ladies you would find in many neighborhood beauty shops getting their weekly blowouts.

Making appearances in the video alongside Lambert are her real-life friends and songwriters Natalie Hemby and Waylon Payne, each of whom have credits on Lambert’s latest album The Weight of These Wings.

Lambert recently kicked off her 2017 Highway Vagabond Tour.
