Morgan Wallen Chimes in on Bailey Zimmerman’s Drunken Crash My Playa Performance

Rising country star Bailey Zimmerman hopped on Instagram to seek fans’ forgiveness following a less-than-stellar performance at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa festival. The “Rock and a Hard Place” singer admitted to overindulging in alcohol before his set in Riviera Cancun, Mexico. Zimmerman is asking fans for a little bit of grace, and fellow country star Morgan Wallen seemed all too happy to give it to him.

Morgan Wallen Chimes In On Bailey Zimmerman’s Performance

On Jan. 18, Bailey Zimmerman took the Crash My Playa stage shirtless—and clearly intoxicated. One video posted to TikTok even showed the 24-year-old diving from the stage.

“The Vince Neil of country music,” one TikTok user remarked.

Zimmerman addressed the mishap in an Instagram post Tuesday (Jan. 21.) First, he acknowledged that his performance was “absolutely awful.” Next, he admitted, “I decided to drink that day, which was a mistake. And I got up on stage, and I was too drunk to play… Nobody got the show they wanted or paid for. I’m disappointed in myself.”

While “embarrassed” by his performance, the “Where It Ends” singer vowed to “do everything in my power to make sure this never happens ever again.”

“I want to show you guys the person that I truly am,” he said.

Several country artists took to the comments to show their support for Zimmerman, including Entertainer of the Year Morgan Wallen. “I thought you sounded great,” the “Smile” singer wrote.

Many praised Wallen for extending grace, but Zimmerman wasn’t buying it. “for sure not my best bub,” he replied, adding a smiley emoji with a drop of sweat.

Bailey Zimmerman Was Partying With This Country Star’s Mom

After spending much of 2024 on the road with Morgan Wallen, it’s not surprising Bailey Zimmerman needed to cut loose. And he found the perfect drinking buddy at the Crash My Playa festival—LeClaire Bryan, mother of Luke. The “Religiously” singer shared a rollicking selfie with the septuagenarian to his Instagram.

“My mother got him drunk today,” quipped the “Play It Again” singer just before he and Zimmerman teamed up for a cover of Florida Georgia Line’s “How We Roll.”
