To accompany his latest album Le Noise, Neil Young is set to release a film of stripped-down in-studio performances, which will be included in the Blu-Ray version of the album, due in November. But you won’t have to wait that long to see it.

Le Noise Film will be available exclusively on YouTube starting today, September 30. Watch it here. Le Noise Film runs for 39 minutes and includes each of the eight tracks on the record. Shot by Adam CK Vollick in black and white, the film showcases Young on acoustic and electric guitars at producer Daniel Lanois’s Silverlake studio, where the album was recorded. A personal introduction from Young and behind-the-scenes insights will be included. Already being praised as some of Young’s finest work, Lanois describes Le Noise as simply “a man on a stool and me doing a nice job on the recording.”

Look for our review of Le Noise in the upcoming issue of American Songwriter.
