– Jack White and Meg White will re-band the White Stripes to play Conan O’Brien’s farewell episode of Late Night on February 20th. The band and the show have a long history; the White Stripes were the musical guest for an entire week back in 2003

– Speaking of bands and late night television, U2 will take over The Late Show With David Letterman for five nights in a row, appearing as the musical guest from March 2nd to March 6th. The band last performed on the show in 2001.

– Fleet Foxes’ singer Robin Pecknold has posted another cover to the MySpace page of his alter-ego, White Antelope. This time, Pecknold tackles Bob Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me Babe.” You can download White Antelope’s tracks here.

– The Decemberists have announced that not only will they play their entire new album, The Hazards of Love in sequence at this year’s South By Southwest Festival….they’ll be performing the whole enchilada on their subsequent North American tour, as well. The band takes over the Hollywood Palladium May 15th.
