Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley only remained married for two years, as the two divorced in 1996 due to a lack of compatibility. Regardless, before the two divorced, they were both seemingly smitten with one another. As a matter of fact, after Jackson professed his love to her, Presley recalled in her memoir, Here To The Great Unknown, that “by then, I felt I was in love with him too.”
Prior to their wedding, Presley’s husband was Danny Keough, who is the father of Riley Keough and the late Benjamin Keough. However, in order to marry Jackson, Presley quickly divorced Keough. Weeks later, Presley and Jackson married in a small ceremony in the Dominican Republic. Concerning the wedding, Lisa Marie stated that she was “very much in love with Michael.”
“I dedicate my life to being his wife,” she said, per Business Insider. “I understand and support him. We both look forward to raising a family.”
