Singer-songwriters Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore married in secret on March 10th in Savannah, Georgia. Adams and Moore first started dating in December 2007, and remained together until July of 2008. Adams blamed the media, to some extent, for their break-up.
“Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life,” Ryan told OK! magazine in a statement last year. “I am grateful for our friendship and how it allowed us both to grow and learn more. Unfortunately I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter…”
Adams is currently on tour with his band the Cardinals until March 20th, but claims that he will step away from the music business after that. However, rumors abound that Adams is crafting songs for a future album, tentatively named Dear Impossible.
Either way, we’re happy for him. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
