On Instagram yesterday, Ryan Adams shared that he has donated a guitar and set of handwritten lyrics to a fundraiser benefitting the American Civil Liberties Union. His Harmony F-70 Buck Owens American Acoustic Guitar and original lyrics for the 2014 Ryan Adams track “Gimme Something Good” will both be up for grabs during March 31’s “Stand for Rights: A Benefit for the ACLU” Facebook Live event.

“Saying goodbye to one of my Buck Owens guitars today,” Adams writes in the post. “It’s my way of doing my part to help people who are in danger of harm in these days of madness.”

Other celebrities taking part in the event, which takes place at 7 p.m. Eastern, include Tina Fey, Jon Hamm and Alec Baldwin. Specific details about the logistics of Friday’s auction have not yet been announced.
