SEAL > System

Seal’s fifth album is all about working up a sweat-on the dance-floor and in the bedroom. Stacking club anthems on top of one another like it was 1994 all over again, Seal and producer Stuart Price (who took Madonna for a similar nostalgic spin on Confessions on a Dance Floor) plug into wall-rattling Eurodisco beats in cuts like “If It’s in My Mind, It’s on My Face” and “Amazing.”

Seal’s fifth album is all about working up a sweat-on the dance-floor and in the bedroom. Stacking club anthems on top of one another like it was 1994 all over again, Seal and producer Stuart Price (who took Madonna for a similar nostalgic spin on Confessions on a Dance Floor) plug into wall-rattling Eurodisco beats in cuts like “If It’s in My Mind, It’s on My Face” and “Amazing.” The handful of ballads, on the other hand, strips the songs to their core (check out the acoustic “Rolling”). There’s also an icky duet with supermodel wife Heidi Klum called “Wedding Day” that you’ll want to stay far, far away from.
