Announced earlier today, acclaimed singer songwriter Shelby Lynne is the newest signing for Rounder Records.
As their first project together, Rounder will release a deluxe reissue of Lynne’s seminal album I Am Shelby Lynne, complete with remastered tracks, six additional bonus songs, and a 90-minute DVD of Lynne’s 2000 performance at the Los Angeles House of Blues.
Lynne just wrapped up recording a follow-up to 2011’s Revelation Road, a currently untitled project recorded at Louisiana’s Dockside Studios, tentatively set for an early 2015 release.
“Shelby Lynne is a songwriter and a soul singer of the first rank. The immediacy of feeling she is able to summon in the studio is a rare form of artistry. Working with her is an exhilarating experience,” Scott Billington, Vice President of A&R at Rounder Records, said in a press release.
