Sleater-Kinney member and Portlandia star will release a memoir in fall of 2015.

According to an interview with NME, the memoir will draw heavily from her career as a musician, rather than focusing on her time on IFC’s wildly popular sketch comedy show Portlandia, with Brownstein stating the book “pretty much ends with Sleater-Kinney going on hiatus, and a little bit of leading on from that. But it doesn’t even really go onto Portlandia.”

“Because it’s more about my journey to becoming just a musician and – I mean, I don’t consider myself a musician – but becoming a creative person,” she added.

No Cities to Love, the band’s first album since 2005’s The Woods, comes out via Sub Pop January 19. They released the album’s first single “Bury Our Friends” in October of last year. The full No Cities to Love track listing is below.
