Isn’t the Internet a beautiful thing? If you’re a fan of the Decemberists, today is your lucky day, as you can stream both their new studio album, Hazards of Love, and the band’s live performance of said album at this year’s SXSW Festival, online.

I bet you’d expect to pay a lot of scratch for such a privilege. But you can put your wallets away — NPR and Entertainment Weekly are offering up these streams for free.

Hazards of Love is a 17-track concept album, or “narrative song cycle,” as the kids are calling them these days, with guest spots from Jim James, Robyn Hitchcock, Becky Stark and Shara Worden. As promised, The Decemberists plaid the album in it’s entirety during their set at Stubb’s BBQ Wednesday. The Avett Brothers and the Heartless Bastards opened. Sounds like a great gig.
