Angel Olsen released the music video for her song “Pops,” the closing track off her 2016 LP My Woman. The video is the latest chance for Olsen to be both in front of and behind the camera, following the pattern of co-directing all of her videos for My Woman.

The clip offers a glimpse into suffocating loneliness, showing Olsen repeatedly by herself, wrapped in a large coat, standing against various grey backgrounds with a never-ending look of gloom on her face.

Olsen found breakout success with her critically accalimed album sophomore Burn Your Fire for No Witness in 2014. Following the success of that album, Olsen took time off to enjoy life in Asheville, North Carolina. While on her hiatus, she began working on several songs that would make their way onto My Woman.

Olsen recently released the song “Fly on Your Wall” in support of Our First 100 Days, an anti-Trump compilation featuring artists like PWR BTTM and Jason Molina.
