Ah, the renaissance fair – turkey legs, period costumes, lutes… what’s not to love? Seattle musician Chris Staples got in costume and hit up his local fair for his latest music video for “Golden Age,” the title track off his forthcoming album out August 19 on Barsuk Records.

“[Video producer] Spencer Gentz and I spent two days at the Oregon Renaissance Faire,” Staples says. “It was really fun dressing up and leaving yourself behind for a few days. The atmosphere there was very friendly and open. It was easy to get great footage because everyone was in costume and ready to ham it up.”
