Music can be a sensual thing. To do it well with multiple people requires chemistry and passion. And sometimes that bubbles over in a way that’s especially visible on screen or in the studio. Case in point: these three duets here below.

Indeed, we wanted to explore a trio of songs performed by artists of the opposite sex that illustrate just how touchy-feely a tune can get. It doesn’t matter generation, style, or substance, the emotion can simply ooze over. Yes, these are three duets that showcase a lot of sexual tension.

“Can’t Let Go” by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss from Raise the Roof (2021)
Who says the older generation can’t have a little fun? In the 1970s, Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant was known for his sexualized singing and flirtatious performances. Well, the more things change the more they stay the same. Indeed, Plant and duet partner, country star Alison Krauss, exhibit titilating vibes on their award-winning songs, including “Can’t Let Go” from their album Raise the Roof. Just check out this live performance between the two. Cut the sexual tension with a knife!
“Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra from Making Mirrors (2011)
This hit single from Gotye is all about the sexual tension. A breakup song featuring vocalist Kimbra, the tune illustrates that perhaps there is still much more lingering between the two singers. Indeed, the music video even has them partially nude in body paint, singing at one another as if their wails and talent might just be able to bring them together for at least one more night. The singers and the characters they play obviously adore—or at least adored—one another. And that passion still smolders on this 2011 track.
“Body and Soul” by Tony Bennett and Amy Winehouse from Duets II (2011)
This intergenerational performance of the classic song “Body and Soul” features iconic lounge singer Tony Bennett and modern day vocal queen Amy Winehouse. But you can just see in the British-born Winehouse’s eyes that she is in love with Bennett. She admired him for years growing up and now that they have the chance to meet in their adult years, it’s clear Winehouse is doing everything she can to keep from giving Bennett a big kiss on his warm face. Of course, the two didn’t date after this song or anything like that, but amorous feelings were swirling in the air to be sure.
