“No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)” with Donna Summer

First up on our list of catchy Streisand duets is “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)” with Donna Summer. Songs don’t get much more anthemic than this one. Both artists leaned into the disco movement with this duet, making use of a fist-pumping rhythm and a danceable chorus. Both Streisand and Summer have incomparable voices and their duet effort is even better than the sum of its parts.

If you’ve had enough, don’t put up with his stuff
Don’t you do it
If you’ve had your fill, get the check, pay the bill
You can do it
Tell him to just get out
Nothing left to talk about
Pack his raincoat, show him out

“Happy Days Are Here Again / Get Happy” with Judy Garland

Both Streisand and Judy Garland are vocal icons. Both are also screen legends. Because of this, it only makes sense that these two would duet at some point. Luckily for their listeners, they made that dream a reality with their duet of “Happy Days Are Here Again / Get Happy.” By highlighting a hit from both artists’ with similar themes, this Streisand duet also acts as a passing of the torch.

So long sad times
Go long bad times
We are rid of you at last
Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past

Forget your troubles, c’mon get happy
You better chase all your cares away
Shout “hallelujah”, c’mon get happy
Get ready for the judgement day

“Cryin’ Time” with Ray Charles

“Cryin’ Time” is one of the most famous duets of all time. Though originally performed by Buck Owens, Ray Charles helped to popularize it. He once made his rendition of this song even more touching by duetting with Streisand. Though both their voices are very different, they provide a nice juxtaposition–which mirrors the lovers at odds in this song.

Oh, it’s cryin’ time again
You’re gonna leave me
I can see that far away look in your eyes
I can tell by the way you hold me, darling, yeah, now
That it won’t be long before it’s crying time
