Beer and country music is a fine pairing, but also one that has been jammed down the consumer’s throat for years upon years. Regardless of the cheesy song lyrics and persuasive marketing tactics, country music and beer still go together like peas and carrots. Especially, ’90s country music, as the two are a match made in heaven and make a Saturday night all the better.

“Chattahoochee” by Alan Jackson
This is a no-brainer, right? For years people have been sitting back by a body of water, turning on Alan Jackson, and cracking open their favorite beers. Released in 1992 on Jackson’s album, A Lot About Livin’, the song is a country anthem that embodies the sentiments of summer.
Following its 1992 release, Jackson’s single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and remained there for four weeks. Furthermore, Jackson also won three CMA Awards for the beer-drinking song of the summer. So, if you don’t believe us, then consider all of the other accolades mentioned.
“Write This Down” by George Strait
Contrary to Jackon’s hit single, this George Strait song is secondary to your beverage of choice. In essence, it’s a great background song to sip and chat to. Whether it be in a bar, in your backyard, or on your couch, you can’t go wrong with this song and a cold one.
Released in 1999 on the album, Always Never The Same, Strait scored his 35th No. 1 single with the song. Not only did the song grace the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, but it also helped place the album at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
“Strawberry Wine” by Deana Carter
Just imagine yourself on a porch at the end of the day with a beer and Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine.” It’s a slow, soothing, and cutely sentimental song that will surely get your heart and mind feeling just a bit extra. So maybe, just maybe, your end-of-the-day beer can be a bit more emotionally productive.
Released in 1996 on Carter’s album, Did I Shave My Legs for This?, Carter received loads of success thanks to the single. Specifically, upon its release the song peaked at No. 1 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Additionally, Carter scored the 1997 CMA Single of the Year with the ’90s hit.
