Nashville-based singer-songwriter Ryan Tanner stopped by the American Songwriter office during Americana Fest to perform a few songs with his four-piece band, who flew in all the way from Salt Lake City.
It was a special visit for us, as Ryan won our Grand Prize Lyric Contest back in 2010 for his song “I Never Did My Best,” snagging a prize package that included a “dream c0-write” with Jim Lauderdale. Watch above as Tanner performs “A Black Heart Painted Red,” off his 2014 album Together Is Where We Belong.
