Billy McFarland’s Fyre Festival Is Back—With Tickets up to $1.1 Million

While music festivals offered fans the chance to see their favorite bands perform, the venues often lacked amenities. And for Billy McFarland, he looked to change that when announcing the Fyre Festival. When first announced, the Fyre Festival appeared to be a luxury experience that gave fans not only a stellar lineup but comfort. With the event seeming like the perfect festival, fans rushed to get a ticket. But it all went south as the festival kicked off with no concerts and poor conditions. Facing legal action, McFarland is back and promised that the Fyre Festival 2 was his original “Dream.”

Appearing on TODAY, McFarland discussed his return to the Fyre Festival and what he hoped to get out of his second attempt. “FYRE 2 is real. My dream is finally becoming a reality.” Although not able to get away from the original festival, McFarland said, “FYRE 2 really isn’t about the past, and it’s not really about me. It’s about taking the vision, which is strong.”

Giving fans a glimpse at what the Fyre Festival 2 would look like, McFarland revealed, “We’re going to have artists across electronic, hip hop, pop and rock. However, it’s not just music. We might have a professional skateboarder do a demonstration. We might have an MMA champion teach you techniques in the morning.”

The Staggering Price Of Fyre Festival 2

Just like before, McFarland promoted an experience like no other to those willing to purchase a ticket. He added that when looking at the festival outline, fans would be thrilled. “Since 2016 Fyre has been the most talked about music festival in the world. Obviously, a lot of that has been negative, but I think that most people, once they kind of get under the hood and study the plans and see the team behind Fyre II, they see the upside… And if it’s done well, I think Fyre has a chance to be this annual festival that really takes over the festival industry.”

As for the information surrounding Fyre Festival 2, the event is expected to kick off on May 30 and run until June 2. For those willing to purchase a ticket, tickets go on sale starting February 24th. Prices range from $1,400 all the way to $1.1 million.

Going far beyond just music, McFarland promised an experience of a lifetime. “Once again, Fyre is not just about this, like, luxury experience. It’s about the adventure. So you’ll be scuba diving with me. You’ll be bouncing around to other islands and other countries on small planes.”
