  • Album sales were down 14.9% in 2007
  • eMusic recorded its biggest Christmas since its doors opened in 2004. They now claim to have 400,000 subscribers
  • The Sirius/XM merger remains up in the air
  • The RIAA is suing an Arizona man for downloading legally purchased CDs to his computer and making them available to P2P networks
  • Jay-Z stepped down as President of Def Jam
  • Several fantastic musicians left us, including jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, ex-Rogue Wave member Evan Farrell and Irish pop-singer Joe Dolan
