Jelly Roll brought out an unexpected guest during his recent show.

While performing at the Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus, Ohio, Jelly Roll told fans he was trying to think of the “craziest thing” he could do during his set. That turned out to be welcoming actor Kevin James to the stage.
“I’m not going to lie, Kevin. You look like you mean all business right now. You’re trying to do a little rock and roll music out here, right? You’re not here to play around.”
James agreed with Jelly Roll’s assessment with nods, before removing the guitar he was wearing and grabbing a microphone.
“Kevin, we’re in the biggest house in Ohio,” Jelly Roll said. “Can we sing a song together?”
James accepted the request, telling the singer, “We can try.” With that Jelly Roll began singing his hit track “Need a Favor.”
The men were dressed nearly identical as they sang, with both guys wearing all-black looks and a backwards black baseball cap.
The similar looks underscored how much the men look alike, which the singer decided to poke fun at on his Instagram Story after the show.
The singer re-shared a post from a fan page, which added his face tattoos to an iconic photo of James during his King of Queens days. Jelly Roll added the crying emojis to his post in response to the hilarious pic.
Jelly Roll’s Sweet Tribute
During the same show, Jelly Roll opted to change up his set list after seeing a sign in the crowd that read, “Jelly Roll, your song changed my life.”
“She’s 28 months clean,” he told the crowd. “We had no intention of playing this song, and we definitely didn’t plan on playing it as one of the first songs we sung,” he said. “But for you and anybody else that might be celebrating their recovery tonight or their sobriety… This song was about somebody having their first day clean. It’s called ‘Winning Streak.’ This is for you. This is to celebrate you, baby — 75,000 people are celebrating you, girl!”
After the show, the woman’s cousin posted a TikTok video showing off the incredible moment. She also revealed that she and her cousin got to meet the singer after his set.
